one rumor is Obama will try to sell the federal foreclosure settlement tonight. my gut sense is voters paying attention to this can't be good for him, unless the benefit is palpable to them.

it won't be, but it will foreseeably be a springboard for themes Obama returns to in the campaign.

I'm on record advocating the return of the old custom of mailing it in, but I understand no President will ever refuse the free TV time.
