I can take that one...I'm still arguing top 3 in my head right now, though. I'm not a homer, by any means...but the guy is just playing ridiculous right now. Not sure what clicked in his head to start the assist show, but I'm glad it did.

Paul and Rose are comfortably ahead of him, and everyone else at PG.

The other PG's in general are a close clump together, Westbrook, Rondo, Parker, Williams etc are all in the argument for #3, I don't think there's a clear #3 though.

By PER according to Hollinger he is currently 8 but surging and could well be in top 5 within a week or so. He is also 4th in top tier point guards in Earned win average: http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics?

At worst I would put Parker at number 5, and at best number 3. Rose and Paul are a grade above everyone else in my opinion. I think the last few weeks Parker has been playing better than Westbrook. I haven't been paying attention to D-Will so I can't really compare the two at the moment.

He could be a top 5 with the way he's been playing but top 3 is stretching it, they'd have to really be giving him the ball and want to make an effort for that. Definitely in the top 10 at least.

Rose and CP3 are clearly better. Going on this year alone, you can make a case for Westbrook, Lowry, Rondo, Lawson and maybe even Nash for having better seasons so far. So Parker is probably somewhere in the 4-7 range right now.

LOL at D-Will being better than Parker this year. He's been in a huge slump (except for tonight).

No way is Westbrook ahead of Parker as of right now. His Ast/To is 1.64.

Westbrook is talented player with a surprisingly low bb iq. Not understanding the concept of giving the ball to 30ppg player everytime down is kinda stupid for a point guard. I would never point him ahead of TP no matter how many assist he averages, because his decision making is terrible.

you can tell who watches the nba around here from this thread

after cp3 and rose.. parker makes a strong case for #3 but so do lowry and lawson so far this season.. i believe parker's the only one that hasn't gone down with an injury yet out of this group
