Since this whole "pound the ball inside" strategy isn't working, why not have Tim shoot a 3 pointer or two tonight? It would really rattle Detroit's defensive strategy. Tim can hit 3's.

Well, if we're arguing a hypothetical, then yeah...if Tim was a bonafide three point shooter, then they'd have to guard the three.
But he's not....so they won't.
