LOL boston + spurs are hottest teams in this ty league

Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce and San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for the week ending February 5.

Pierce averaged 22.0 points, 6.3 assists and 5.8 rebounds to help the Celtics get to 4-0 last week. He had 30 points, seven rebounds and five helpers in a 91-89 win over New York on Friday.

Parker helped the Spurs also go 4-0 thanks to averages of 22.3 points, 8.0 assists and 1.5 steals, all team-highs. In a 107-96 win against Oklahoma City, he had 42 points and nine assists.

    Well deserved.

I'm not sure how surprising this really is. With the lack of a training camp, I think it was fairly expected that those teams with established coaches, veterans, and systems would have a leg up on the compe ion. Now the question will be, can their "old legs" sustain it as this condensed season progresses?

The good news for the Spurs is that Manu has been avoiding wear and tear due to his injury, and Tim's minutes have been well managed thus far (though he has played more games than I would have expected)

agree that Spurs system is a good reason. Also Duncan kept himself in shape and it shows.

But still, the state of the game in the NBA is laughable. The NBA commited Sternicide.

    Or perhaps Stern committed basketballicide.

But you are right about the state of play.

Clearly Stern has no pride in his product.

Tony deserves player of teh week just based on a single game. The way he took a dump on Westbrook was worth the award.
