. . . but if Tony Parker doesn't get named as a reserve, that would be a travesty. Leading the Spurs to a 15-7 record without Manu Ginobili and with a 35-year-old Tim Duncan? IMO, he's earned it this year more than any other season.

I agree, but I almost hope he doesn't get it. I'd rather him and Timmy get their rest.

Agreed. He deserves it over guys like Lawson, Lowry, and Nash, who have gotten a lot more recognition than him by the analysts.

I think getting shafted would be just the psychological fire we need for a season like this to get the best TP we can get come May.

Agree. Definitely has shown that when given the right to lead the team like the other superstar point guards, he can play with the best of them (and outplay them).

No worry. The past three games nailed it for him. How one week changes everything! Last week we were worried about him getting in, right now we can have an argument of him being the best PG in the west.

Not a big fan of Parker but hes been ballin. 28 ppg, 7 apg, 2 spg on 50+% shooting over the past 5 games with the Spurs winning them all. 2 weeks ago he wouldve been a toss-up but after today I dont think theres any way he doesnt get the nod imo.

With as hard and as long as Tony Parker has been playing recently, going 15 minutes in an All-Star game would be a walk in the park.

Parker loves making the All-Star game, so I hope he makes it.

    TP should get the nod.

But the savagery that he would play with if he doesn't . . .

Especially in LA where I'll be watching our guys dismantle the Clippers . . .

    Well, I could enjoy it.

I know that some players take the All-Star game pretty seriously, but do we really think that TP will treat it with the same intensity as he does a regular game? Personally, I see it as a glorified practice or shoot around and see little reason to worry about Tony sacrificing his body in lieu of the rest he would otherwise receive.

Now if we were talking Duncan, I may feel differently.

    Brent Barry sees things differently.

TP doesn't care. He never even tries in these types of things. I'm sure he'd rather just be there partying.

I agree with this. I'm hoping for him to get snubbed so he can get revenge on the league.

Manu's been robbed b4. Though Parker indeed deserves the recognition, he'd be fueled by the snub and I'd welcome a rest for him and TD TBH

You can't be more wrong about that. Parker really cares and wants to be an all-star.
