With all the Linsanity bs you knew JR would wanna get in on that. Not sure what the Lakers would want from the Tpups but they could get some depth and rebuilding blocks. Heat will get Kaman seeing as the league owns the Hornets and they'll give their bread and butter whatever they want.

Let's hope Jeremy "Jerry West" Lin does not carpool with JR to practice.

Assuming OP means JR Smith, you'd think a shooter would help the Knicks given they're shooting 30% from the field, but the last thing they need is another player who's never seen a 3 he didn't like.

The Knicks have two of the best scorers in the game and a center who gets 4-5 easy shots a game just because of his size/athleticism. The fact they needed to start getting elite production out of the PG position before they started winning is a massive indictment on D'antoni's versatility as a coach. Without a stud PG he has no in idea how to run an offense.

Not sure which would be worse. JR or Lin behind the wheel.

Smith can make the most in NYK so I get it. He was needed most in LAL since we have the worst 3pt shooting in the NBA and no backup SG ...

I dont see what Kaman gives the HEAT. unless it's to combat Noah in the ECF. Bosh and Lebron already man the post and Kaman would just clog the lane when Lenron's best asset is driving to the basket (Wade's too ... to a lessor degree).

No way I trade Pau unless Love or Rubio comes back. I like Derrick williams but would only do that trade if that was a piece that the Magic or Nets coveted to get Dwill or dhoward in Lakers jersey. If not, I'd rather keep Pau ...for now.

Think about it though, the Wolves could offer something like Ridnour, Darko, Beasley, and Williams for Gasol and Fisher which wouldn't be a horrible trade since Gasol won't net you an All-Star by himself probably and the Lakers get a decent shotblocker, a SF who can score next to Kobe and shoots a respectable 40% from 3, a young player with upside, and a much better PG than Fisher.

I think it's a good move imo, the Lakers need to start reloading. They need to let Bynum control the post more and him and Pau get in each others way, plus Gasol is older. Beasley would expire after this season and at least they'd have a decent PG to run the show and a decent backup behind Bynum with Williams possibly blossoming. The Wolves in turn get a center to form a solid front line with Love and a good trio to build around for the future.

Lakers already have 2 allstars. Gasol for a few established players is a great deal. think of it as trading a bailout for another bailout.

JR Smith was tailor made for the Knicks. Another shoot first thug that fails to contribute to the team model in any way other than jacking up jumpers.

The only use for Kaman in Miami would be backup spot minutes off the bench. And at JR Smith being a Knick. Seeing NY implode will be comedy.

Another black hole player to the Knicks, exactly what they need. Genius.
