lets just not and say we did![]()
Let's play "what if?" What if that last shot of Hamilton's would have went in the basket? It was an offensive foul, followed by a travel, followed by another offensive foul (elbow to the head). It would have been the biggest non-call screw job in NBA history.
who cares. he didn't make the shot. statement said. stupid thread.
Great defense by Parker on that play. He was overmatched, outsized, and he had an elbow up his nose.
What if they called a foul on Hamilton?
That sounds good, but the way the Spurs were shooting FTs, I wouldn't want the pressure of Tony shooting knowing there was over a second left on the clock....
Richard didn't make it and it was great defense which the Spurs are known for. Who cares?! Spurs Win!![]()
I don't care about what ifs.
It's not a stupid thread. It is a legitimate point. I'm glad he missed it anyway. So if you think the thread is stupid......then don't reply.
No FTs awarded on offensive fouls.
It's a legit thread, had he made that shot it would have been one of the biggest non calls in NBA history, and it was a HORRIBLY OBVIOUS FOUL....
That was an offensive fouls on many levels. However, in a big game like this was tonight, there is no way that call is made. Had it gone in that non call might have caused the Spurs the series.
Gauransheeed!! After I saw that elbow to the face of Parker I was almost certain the zebras would make a horrible call.
If any call was made, no doubt offensive foul.
I don't even want to think about what would have happened.
Thats the way to look at what ifs.
Not necisarily. There was still plenty of time. If that shot went in, Horry woulda just made another big basket.
I was definitely shocked the Pistons didn't get the home court call on that last play. Instead, refs let them play with Rip administering the blatant offensive foul ini ially. Parker did get in a lot of contact after that.
In any event, Piston Fan spam should lighten up in here a little bit for the next couple of days...
Well, when Fisher made that shot, I was thinking about 'What if's for the next few days.
I'd rather think about it now, than in a situation like that.
Wishful thinking!![]()
It's all irrelevant now. One more!
The biggest thing Parker did on that play was HE DIDN'T FLOP.
A flop right then would have given Rip a clear shooting lane and probably cost them the game.
Parker's defense on Rip on the Final play was one of the keys to the game. As Shoogar said, if Parker flops ... theres a no call and Rip hits the game winner. He just stayed with it and made it an almost impossible shot.
Not to nitpick, but why didn't Manu go for the block? He was right there and kinda just watched Rip shoot it![]()
Probobly wouldve gotten a foul.but why didn't Manu go for the block?
