imo i think lent is a nice stepping stone for a new years resolution (small steps i guess). i gave up smoking and now im a complete asshat. ill probably stop browsing the interwebs so much as well.

I lent my original Atari 2600 and about 60 games to the sister of my ex girlfriend about 20 years ago. And I never got it back.
giving up Meat on Fridays.
giving up Alcohol, Candy, Soda for the whole season.

3 years tbh but more like a pack every 3 days, so not that hardcore.
funny story though less than a week after i quit i went to an outdoor bar where everyone and their mom was smoking.
then the guy next to me happened to be a seller for philip morris, so the whole night he was talking to me about getting me free cartons of cigarettes.
ing sucked.
