Tough matchup for the Spurs but at home (13-1) they are almost unbeatable this year.

This Wed 9:00 Eastern on ESPN.

Great matchup to start 2nd half of the season and if all breaks right could be a finals preview!

Bulls number 2 in Hollinger's rankings with 2 less losses (Spurs now at 5 after Pop rested starters vs. the Blazers) but a much easier strength of schedule to date. Both teams have been missing key pieces....

    http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerrankings

    Additional Team Stats:

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/holli...er%2fteamstats Bulls 3rd, Spurs 7th in Off efficiency but Bulls way up there in defense efficiency at number 2 vs. the Spurs at 16th: http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/tea...ff/order/false

Stats and health (except for the lingering issues with Rose) favor Bulls but the surging Spurs have a strong chance to defend successfully one of the best home record in the league [ Bulls have only 2 losses of their own in Chicago and Thunder are a sickening 15-1 at home].

Parker is playing well enough to plausibly win the matchup of the two of the top etchelon NBA point guards, and a rested Duncan should have fresh legs for this one but if the Spurs to win it will take a collective effort and a hot shooting night from Bonner or Neal would not hurt (or Blair matching his last game against a better front line).

    Must win IMO

we got raped by the Heat and have no chance at redemption. Same thing would happen if we lost to Bulls.

Spurs need to prove they can beat at least 1 of the 2 best East teams.

Not a must win by any means, but could be a nice measuring stick of where we're at.

Still not at full strength but I think we have a fighting chance. We're at home and rested, with a couple good home cooked meals and possibly a practice in. I'm looking forward to seeing a game on national TV that Pop doesn't throw.

If Tiago isn't playing, I don't like our chances tbh.

    Also, Parker vs. D. Rose

TP always steps up against the top PGs!

This game means nothing. Sure, it would be a measuring stick if we weren't missing half our team. Any word on Splitter, Ginobili.. game time decision?

I'm thinking the Spurs are gonna go into this game missing Ginobili, Splitter, and Ford, so I'm not confident. Let's see what happens, though. The team will be back home for the first time in weeks, fully rested while Chicago played the previous night, and there might be another practice under their belts.

Bulls play the night before so the chances winning at home are pretty good

they could not prove they could beat the Grizz last regular season and we got clobbered in the playoffs. I wanna see us beating a good team other than OKC

Again, last season we lost in the regular season to the team that wiped the floor with us in the playoffs. For those who keep repeating regular season does not matter, watch the playoff matchups, the regular season between those teams did matter to show/work on mismatches.

No Manu, no Tiago, no Kawhi, possibly no Neal.

Unless Parker goes for 40 and 20 and Blair goes for 20/20 against that front line (), Bulls win by at least 25....

"Tough matchup for the Spurs but at home (13-1) they are almost unbeatable this year."

even tougher, Spurs are missing half their rotation.

Only Manu and Kawhi have been ruled out. Tiago and Neal are questionable. Looks like Ford will play.

Bulls just took the lead 97-95. New Orleans pretty much choked the game away. They were up 95-91 with 1:25 to go in the game....
