So I was laid off on 1 February.
I now have 2, potentially 3, job offers on the table.
1 Job pays the most, but is only a contract job, likely to end in about three years with no guarantee of a continuation or placement. Good thing about this job is it would be a great entry on my resume and give me good experience going forward to couple with my education, potentially leading to better opportunities elsewhere.
2cd job pays about 5K less, but is a permanent placement. It is with a big organization with a lot of internal promotion potential. It is somewhere I could likely make a career.
3rd job pays about 10k less, but is a permanent placement. It is with a mid sized org. Very laid back, family type atmosphere. lots of nice creature comfort type perks. Potential to be in on the ground floor and potential director of a new department, if the department catches on.
I have already accepted job one, but am kind of regretting it and thinking of retracting for job two. Job three just came about today and I think it is very likely they make an offer by the end of the week.
ARggh....i need a therapist. Do you take less money for other comforts, or do you always take the most $$?
