@RavensInsider
Keep hearing Cowboys and Seahawks as primary suitors for Texans pass rusher Mario Williams. We'll find out next week

Jerry Jones is a dumbass, maybe they want Mario to play corner.
if he goes to Dallas, then they're gonna look dumb no matter what. They have 3 OLBs and only 2 spots. So somebody's got to be the situational rusher.
Do you turn one of the two best passrushers in the league into a situational player or the guy you just franchised? ing idiots
The Broncos are in the mix, too, he was at the Nuggets-Cavs game, last night, as an invited guest..
Having Dumervil, Williams, and Miller rushing the passer would be ridiculous...
It would be perfect for Fox ball, tbh..
Broncos won't win anything until Tebow learns how to throw on a consistent basis, but with a potentially dominant defense and running game, at least they'll be in the mix..
Agreed...still, would be a disgusting pass-rush. The biggest indicator of Fox-ball is the reliance on McGahee (The U), imo. He's a little too fumble prone, but he was a beast last year--especially considering he was facing 8-man fronts...
Tebow needs to adapt and adjust fast...Demaryius Thomas is a physical beast and needs more touches
Darkhorse: Chargers. Might let V.Jackson walk & this would open the door for Mario
If this is true about the Cowboys...
There's bigger holes than OLB.... especially now that they've franchised Spencer. It wouldn't be a boneheaded move if they didn't use the franchise tag on Spencer.![]()
Just move either Williams or Spencer to DE, problem solved, and you have probably the best pass rushing defense in the league. Sure it's going to hurt the Cowoys in the long run, but Jerry wants to win now.
Also Brooking,James, and Coleman may be on their way out, so maybe Ryan has other plans for the current linebacker core.
the franchise tag can be rescinded.
damn looks like jerrys ready to blow his load again
As a Jaguars fan I would love to see Mario Williams in Jville. Its a possibility too. The Jags are way under the cap by about 30 million plus. They can truly afford to pay this guy what he will command in bonus and salary. The Jaguars were the top 6th ranked defence last year under D-coordinator Mel Tucker who is now the assistant Head coach/d-coordinator. The Jaguars play a 4-3 defence and will allow Mario to slide back into his natural position a rush end. The Jaguars are in the AFC South where Mario Williams can stick to the Texans twice a year! I see the Jaguars targeting Williams early in FA and possibly stealing him away from the other noted teams.
Go Jags!
FOX Sports Southwest confirms the Cowboys will ''make a run'' at free agent DE Mario Williams, but believe it's unlikely they'll get him at anything less than market value.
The Cowboys are projected to be $14 million under the salary cap this offseason, which could make signing Williams cost prohibitive given their investments at outside linebacker and needs in other areas. Williams is likely to command a contract similar to the six-year, $84 million deal Julius Peppers received from Chicago.
