I was hoping we'd take the Houston deal (Martin, Scola, Dragic, and a 1st). Seemed pretty generous
I still don't get why the Lakers are shopping Pau. Even if he isn't beasting like years prior, the Pau / Bynum combo creates a size mismatch for nearly every team in the league.
The only way this isn't, at best, a lateral move is if they are getting a bigman more skilled than Pau, and those aren't real abundant in the league right now. Even Howard (which isn't happening) doesn't have the same floor game and passing skills that Pau has...he fills the same space as Bynum.

Lakers have treated this guy as bad as you would treat a worm. Geez, the loyalty.
I said "even Howard", which indicates that he would be an exception to the previous statement.
Howard would be an improvement, but I personnally don't think vastly so. Pau has a much more diverse floor game than Howard; he makes his teammates better and actually has a jumper. Howard is a handful in the post....but Lakers already have one of those.

With that said, @lazenby is very credible. Maybe word will spread over the next few hours. We'll see what happens next.
IMO The Lakers are not shopping Pau…He is just the best player the Lakers have that other teams really want…
Dwight Howard is a MASSIVE upgrade over any big. Dude single-handedly beat Chicago last night at the UC, and took a team of 3-point chuckers to the finals a couple years ago.
He's still unpolished, but that's what's scary. He's a potential 30-20-5(blocks) on any night

DD is on point. It's scary what kind of numbers Dwight can put up on a team with Kirby and all those offensive rebounds to be had.
