Ok, we are one win away from #3. Our team has it's challeges - go out there and play hard, play smart, lock down on D, penetrate, make the jump shots, and lay it all out there.
But many long time fans know and agree that we have our part to do here. What supers ions do you have? What will you and won't you do before and during the game that has cosmic impact and sends good karma to our Spurs?
We know Robert Horry eats honey with his pre-game meal. I personally knit during the game, and it works.
Will you shoo the cat out because he's bad luck? Will you remain seated in an awkward position? Does any of this actually make a difference?

I'll be wearing my lucky shirt, drinking my lucky beer and sitting in the same uncomfortable folding chair that has worked in games 1, 2 and 5!

I have to be home all day of the game, make a full dinner from scratch, and watch the game from pre-show to post-commentary without leaving the room(during play) or switching the channel (during commercials).
Sadly i was out of town with family for games 3 and 4..... and we all know how that worked out.
But last night I kept to all of my supers ions and we won!!!!
I believe we would have won by more points if I had not used pre-cooked chicken in my callabaza con pollo..........but since a Win is a WIN I forgive myself.

LOL. But haven't they already won by the post-game commentary? Or does that affect the next game's karma?
well, the two losses my kids weren't wearing their jerseys. Yesterday they wore them. Only my youngest son took his off after he took a shower and that's when the game became close.

Right before games one and two, I played NBA Live 2005 on my PS2. I was the Spurs and I beat the Pistons each time by a similar margin to the actual games. I didn't have time to play before games 4 & 5...we lost. I made a point to play again yesterday afternoon. My final score was SA 96 DET 89. My game didn't go to OT or have Horry making a game winner, but I won and so did the Spurs. I'll be damned if I don't play tomorrow before the game!
Yes I believe it effects the karma for the next game.

Wore my Ginobili Argentina jersey every big playoff game. Never washed it, it has the permanent smell of victory on it.

Sure, I have supers ions. I always wear my Spurs jelly bracelets (put them on my wrist in the same order every time), and I always wear the special good luck pins (I probably have 25+ Spurs pins, but there are only about 5 different ones that are special)...and I ALWAYS wear the "It's Game Time" pin I got at the SBC Center on opening night of this season on game day. I have little basketball earrings that I wear on game day; I have Spurs earrings (3 different styles), but the basketballs seem to bring better luck, so I have stuck with them throughout the playoffs. And I always wear gray and black on game day; if I'm not working, it's a Spurs tshirt...but, I can't wear those to work (except on Fridays), so I have some "unofficial" spurs tops that I wear with the pins on them.
There are certain words I will not say on game days. There are certain foods I will not eat on game days.
