In the following graph, the x-axis represents time (in games), while the y-axis is plus/minus per 48 minutes. I found that it takes about 200 minutes played for the noise to be limited enough to make plus/minus useful, so each player's plus/minus number only got plotted after they reached that 200-minute minimum.

(I removed the minutes played in that Blazers game Pop threw.)

    Observations:

-Tony Parker's steady rise is pretty impressive. Plus/minus-wise, this could go down as the best season of Parker's career if he keeps it up.

-Richard Jefferson started well but now is firmly entrenched in mediocrity.

-It's good to see that Tim Duncan recovered from that poor stretch from between the 18th and 24th game of the season. If he can keep moving north, it'd make it a lot easier for the Spurs to win games. The formula the Spurs had been using in which the bench was relied upon to break games open isn't very dependable ... especially come the playoffs.

-Other than the last game against the Clippers, Tiago Splitter has remained a positive force for the Spurs despite not being 100% since his injury.

-Over the last ten games, Kawhi Leonard is definitely heading in the right direction. Since the plus/minus stats have been so unkind to Leonard this season, that's really good to see.

-Matt Bonner remains the King of Plus/Minus ... but over the last 15 games or so he's been coming down. Still, it continues to be difficult to argue against Bonner being a positive force in the regular season.

-Danny Green's plus/minus is plummeting. I'm not sure the exact cause but I'm assuming it's a case of a player regressing to his true level.

-It looks like Gary Neal has been on the edge of breaking through as a really useful player ... but can't quite move much past the generic team level.

-Like Green, James Anderson is coming back down to earth.

-Manu Ginobili celebrated his inclusion by quickly relinquishing the top spot to the King. Seriously though, I'd be really surprised if Ginobili isn't leading the way the next time I update this.

i don't believe in plus/minus because there are so many factors that influence it; i think that if you want to look at entire line-up +/-, we would get a better picture - basically 82games.com
