Well, this makes it possible that he'll fall to us, but it makes it rather unlikely that we would draft him...
We'd have to trade up to get him. I don't know how interested the Spurs are - but giving away Gary Neal might move us up.

The Javalle McGee who'd be our 3ed big if he was on this team right now? Melo is clearly not the brightest lad, but he does appear to play basketball pretty well. He might well make a serviceable NBA starting big. No, he's not going to be TD, but you're dreaming in technicolor if you're expecting a TD at 26th or so.
No , I just hate dumb players. And Melo definately is dumb. He cant shot. He make silly mistakes in defense. Still plenty to learn. If someone draft him in lottery, then we have a bust. No way Spurs will draft such player.
And JaValle McGee will never be a Spur, with Popovich as coach.
I was afraid of all this. The kid may be dumb, but he sure is talented. Too bad.
he may be a bonehead but he is going fairly low in most mock drafts. somewhere around the 22-26 range. he is a legit 7 footer with great defensive skills. he could probably be had for nothing more than just giving cash for a late pick to some team.
I have heard rumors that Boston is not looking to bring in rookies and could be selling either or both of their 21 and 22nd picks.
he could be a great steal if we can refine him.
