Good news for the rest of the NFL:

San Francisco's QB is still Alex Smith

Sipp all the kool-aid you want, but you known damn well San Francisco isn't winning jack with Alex Smith as the QB.

That defense was playing out of it's world last year, had homefield in the Championship game and still couldn't get it done.

Ask the Bears of the 80's and the Baltimore Ravens since '99. Both were lucky enough to win a Super Bowl inspite of their subpar QB once.

Who knows how many more les they could have won if they had a decent QB to compliment that defense.

In addition, Harbaugh's bag demeanor will wear off sooner than later. , that stubborness is already costing you a dramatic upgrade at QB in Manning while he signs every reject with baggage he can find.
Manning? That guy is one hit away from dying on the field. No thanks on passing on a guy who was a TOP5 Quarterback last season for a guy who hasn't seen the field in a year. That's just dumb

No one better was available. Improved offensive weapons should help. I'd like to see how many Quaterbacks would have put up the Playoff numbers Smith did with Kyle Williams as their #2 WR

    Quarterback #1: 26 years old, 10-6 Record, 56 Completion %, 3336 Yards, 23 TD's, 20 Interceptions, 73.9 Passer Rating, 208 Yards/Game

    Quarterback #2:
    27 years old, 13-3 Record, 61 Completion %, 3144 Yards, 17 TD's, 5 Interceptions, 90.7 Passer Rating, 196 Yards/Game

    Guess who Quarterback #1 & #2 were?

A: Eli Manning in 2007 & Alex Smith in 2011

Josh Freeman had one year like that too in 2010, only it didn't take him 6 years to do it They both aren't even Trent Dilfer quality

Josh Freeman (2010): 25 tds, 6ints, 95.9 passer rating, 3400 yds, more yards per attempt

    Trent Dilfer won a SB

    can't face facts

Smith has 6 ty years and only one good year

  17. #17
    - Freeman had no defense & a revolving door offense
    - Smith finally has the same Offensive Coordinator returning

    - Trent Dilfer: 12 TD's, 11 INT's, 76.6 Rating

    - Smith hasn't had a Passer Rating <80, in 3 seasons

    - It took Smith 32 games to turn into a >80 Passer
It took Eli 57 games to turn into a >80 Passer

This is sad. You keep throwing ignorant views at the wall to see what sticks & I continue exposing your flawed opinions

and still put up better #'s in his one good year than Smith did in his one good season.

    Thanks for proving my point

He put up the same dominating line in the Playoffs as Smith?

Plus I doubt Freeman was 14-4 on the season.

Eli has 2 superbowls (w/ SBMVPs) and 8 playoff wins in 7-8 years. What's Smith's resume?

Alex Smith has started 66 games in his career. Here are his stats, keep in mind he joined the worst offense in the league while Eli joined a Giants team with Kurt Warner, Tiki Barber & Jeremy Shockey.

    Alex Smith 66 Career Games:
    58% Completion
    68-58 TD/INT (1.1 Ratio)
    6.4 Yards/Attempt
    179 Yards/Game
    76.4 Passer Rating
    4 Rushing TD's/629 Rushing Yards
    1 Playoff victory

Eli Manning (through 66 career games)
    55% Completion
    91-75 TD/INT (1.2 Ratio)
    6.3 Yards/Attempt
    200 Yards/Game
    75.4 Passer Rating
    2 Rushing TD's/177 Rushing Yards
    0 Playoff Vicitories

    Need I say more?

Rabble Rabble Rabble says guy who didn't watch the game

Eli had atleast 3 balls tipped & dropped by defenders. Switch Quarterbacks & the Giants don't need Overtime to win.

LOL @ getting 2 free touchdowns off fumbles & still needing overtime to win. Alex Smith actually DROVE the Niners in the 2nd Half. DROVE as in moved the football from one side of the field to the other. Only one Quarterback was able to do that in the 2nd Half of the NFC le Game. But if you didn't actually watch the game you wouldn't know that
