Filed to ESPN: Lions reached agreement with WR Calvin Johnson on a seven-year, $132 million extension that includes $60 million guaranteed.

Not that Calvin is going to be hurting for cash or anything as it's still the largest contract for a wide receiver in league history, but Detroit sports radio is saying that the deal is structured in a way that opens up almost $10 million this summer in cap space. Seems like he also made it possible for the Lions to make additional moves to improve the team now. That was nice to hear. Glad they locked him up for a long time. I hope he stays healthy. Seems like a good guy who has big picture in mind. Not that he's a martyr. He's still banking. But I like what I hear about the deal and how it affects other potential moves. Congrats to Megatron on getting a huge deal.
