Dawson is gone, Mills wont play significant minutes and Anderson wont play any
It's crazy to see how much more depth we have now with the additions of Diaw and Jackson, maybe too much?
PG: parker/Neal/mills?
SG: Manu/Jackson/Neal
SF: Leonard/Green/Anderson
PF: Duncan/Diaw/Dawson
C: Blair/Splitter/Bonner
What lineup would you like to see to close games?
I was thinking
Parker
Manu
Jackson
Leonard
Duncan
but against bigger teams switch Leonard with Diaw?
Dawson is gone, Mills wont play significant minutes and Anderson wont play any
keep manu coming off the bench for offensive purposes. switch with diaw when he is in shape
Take Blair out of that rotation. Switch Green and Jackson. Is Dawson even going to be on the team then?
I'm not sure I like the idea of Neal being the backup point come play-off time either...
Closers:
Parker
Manu
Jax
Duncan
Whoever else is hot and ideal for the specific matchup: Diaw, Splitter, Leonard, Green, etc.
Against teams like LA and Memphis I would want Splitter or Diaw closing.
OKC or a team like Houston it wouldn't matter as much.
Tonights lineup, Parker replaces Neal minutes, Splitter plays. We have depth, might as well use it. Individual games depend on matchups, but we should be able to cover all matchups(Memphis, LA will be hard, but that's only 2 teams, we may not play them.)
give the new guys a few games before this
it was only against dallas
I agree with Ducks. Give the new guys a chance to play with the team. Diaw, Parker and Jackson should gell really fast. Manu made the comment that the French National team ran a lot of the Spurs offense. LOL Cap't Jack is back and happy. You can see that on his face and in his game. Diaw played with Jack at Charlotte and Tony before joining the Spurs so they should have some chemistry.
Biggest worry is Mills and how he will fit in.
PG Tony, Manu, Neal, Mills
SG Manu, Neal, SJax, Leonard, Green
SF Leonard, SJax, Diaw, Green
PF Blair, Bonner, Diaw, SJax, Leonard
C Duncan, Splitter
After the game tonight, I dont know if Pop will shorten the rotation. Just looking at how deep the team is tells me that we can ball with any team and their best players. We as so deep that if someone starts slow, we have a player on the bench to step in for him.
2012 playoff lineup
PG-Parker
SG-Kawhi
SF-Capt Jack
PF- Diaw
C- Duncan-Yes he's the center
Bench:Neal Manu Green Bonner Splitter
Back end: Anderson Blair (any other PG)
