I've listened to Slayer, Megadeath, Motorhead, Sepultura, Iron Maiden, Metallica and others. I've given it some time and I've tried it. Have friends into it. So this is...can knock it because I've tried it. What am I missing? Why does it seem like just a lot of racket?
I listen to everything, from old prewar blues like Blind Lemon Jefferson who recorded "Black Snake Moan" in 1926 to Ray Lamontagne, Mark Lemhouse, Harry Manx, Amos Lee, Ben Harper today. Huge CD, records, tapes collection. Why am I not getting Heavymedal? What am I missing?
I bet a lot of you dig the out of it. Where does it put you? It takes you where? You are looking to be in what kind of mood? Or am I making too much out of it and it's just music?
This is head out to my Fortress of Solitude (garage..ha!) light a few candles/incense sticks and kick back music. A mug of coffee fits.
I don't think I could chill with Heavymedal.
