sorry, make it 29-10 then.![]()
Damn, Memphis seems rolling into form right now, this team is solidly built for postseason.
26-10 Memphis, 1st Q end.
Pathetic. Mavs are like the loser who actually gets to a hot , but when he realizes he's actually ing a hot , goes soft.
Mavs are doing this on purpose. What other explanation is there?
They're on the same plan Grizz were last year.
It's not the Grizz looking impressive, it's more of the Mavs looking like . Wouldn't be surprised if they were tanking though.
If the Grizzlies were an above average offensive team, there would be no way the Mavericks would still be in this game.
A double digit lead is not safe when the Grizzlies have it.
spurfans saying "we want memphis"
them nlggas would their pants if they had to face the Grizz again
I will never understand why the Grizzlies continues to leave the opposing teams best shooters (like Jason Terry in this game for example) wide open for 3s.
Gay causing mavfan some butthurt in this one,TOSB Dirk 1-7 with 3 points at the half
, the farm team would probably roll you guys too.
they losing it deliberately to get the 8th seed so they can play em spurs in the 1st round and win tbh
I honestly think they would take us, but the series would be a nailbiter b/c we matchup much better.
Dallas being the one hit wonder they're supposed to be, no surprises there...
Chandler's loss was huge.
I can't see why anyone would be afraid of either of these teams in the playoffs. They both look like tonight in what should be a "playoff atmosphere".
Both of these teams are damn good. Dallas, as much as everyone says they struggle are never out of any game and their defense can lock people up. They struggle to score at times, but Dirk is still sick.
But Memphis is the real deal. The only reason they're the 5th seed is because of injuries. They have a great frontline and loads of depth on the perimeter. I do think if Duncan can regain 60% of his prime like he has in recent weeks and Popovich commits to Splitter, the Spurs aren't all that overmatched on the inside. Memphis will still have a slight edge there, but the Spurs are deeper on the perimeter, which I hope would equalize that disadvantage.
Spurs in 7.
But if Pop overplays Blair and Bonner, it could get ugly.
We also have to remember that Randolph isn't anywhere close to the player he was in last year's playoffs yet. Memphis's vaunted interior is actually quite mediocre when he's not playing at an all-star level, which he hasn't the past couple of weeks. If he can't summon last year's form, Memphis is a second round team at best.
Randolph still does well enough in the limited minutes he gets off the bench. He has another 3 or so weeks to get into form too.
How often/how many minutes do Duncan and Splitter get together though, b/c that's what it's going to take. You saw last year that either Gasol or Randolph would take turns dominating the turd towers--and as the series went on Duncan eventually tired out and got manhandled too.
If they don't already play significant minutes together then that could disrupt chemistry when they're forced too. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.
Grizzlies are probably the only team in the league where a 19 point 2nd quarter lead is a 1 point lead or a deficit in the 3rd quarter.
Now this is more like a defending champ team, showing some pride & guts.![]()
I never thought I would see the day when I would say we have no answer for Brandan Wright.
the corpse of Gilbert Arenas going off
