At the begging of the season most basketball "experts" picked the spurs to break down this year. Duncan was to old and the wear and tear would be to much for this team. But look at it now, the spurs are the number 1 seed in the west again thanks to pops versatility, he doesn't get enough credit from turning from thibs to D'Antoni.
The only other feasible opposition is Thibs and Rivers. Considering Thibs kept his #1 seed to without rose half the time but Pop deserved some kind of credit for keeping this team relevant for so long. Doc Rivers also has a good case considering he's kept the celtics a contender in year 5 of their 3 year plan. But Pop still deserves it more because Rivers has done this half a season, Pops done it for two.
If anything the NBA needs to make up for the tragedy that Phil Jackson, Pop, and Jerry Sloan only have 2 COY combined.

Dale, it's right there before your eyes. I showed you that Dale Robinson does awards, and Dale Robinson has stated for all to witness, recorded here on this forum, that only pussies and assholes do awards. He didn't say "pussies or assholes", but "pussies AND assholes".

Also, why is Doc Rivers there? They started like dog . He's not going to get a pass like he did in Orlando.
Yeah the celtics were really really bad when the year started. But he made the neccesary adjusments and turned a 5 man team into the #4 seed. As you saw with D'Antoni this year the difference between an Good and Great coach is the ability to adjust. D'Antoni refused to change and got canned.
I wondered that myself. Doc Rivers hasn't done anything.
