Yeah, just bounce The Nashers out of contention please, and let our PHX game became meaningless for them so our scrubs can whip theirs.
Some playoff scenarios:
Phoenix has a 2-0 record over Utah this season. However, if Utah beats Phoenix tonight, then the cast for the West will be complete.
If Phoenix beats Utah and one of these things happen: (a) Phoenix W vs San Antonio; (b) Phoenix L vs San Antonio and Utah L vs Portland, then Utah is going home for the spring.
However, if Phoenix beats Utah and loses to San Antonio with a combination of Utah winning vs Portland, then they still are going home.
exciting match-up

C'mon Phoenix do this..........................so you can get swept by Spurs later on.![]()
Neither team will come close to beating the Spurs, but I think Utah has a better chance of taking a series against the Spurs to 6 games.
I guess this is a big game tonight, but for me it's win-win no matter what happens. I'd like to see the young guys get playoff games, but how much good would it do to get swept? On the other hand...if we lose tonight and miss the playoffs, we'll most likely have 2 more lottery picks and don't have to give Minny our pick. We don't need two more picks, but it gives us options as far as a trade.
I guess in a perfect world we get Golden State's #8 pick and make the playoffs, giving the young guys some playoff experience.
As a Spurs fan I want Phoenix. Revenge first and foremost. Second, Utah plays much more physical and considering this may be the first playoffs since 2007 the Spurs are essentially healthy, I don't want anything screwing that up.
Otherwise I think it's a wash. Nash gets fired up vs the Spurs for obvious reasons and can bring an MVP effort on any given night. His execution of the pick and roll has caused major trouble for San Antonio time and time again. OTOH, Devin Harris will be a handful for Tony Parker over a series if he's fired up.
Either should be an entertaining series.
If SAS gets Suns then Duncan better watch out for a crazy old man in the crowd
I thought he had relocated to LA.![]()
I dont think Blair is gonna see much time in the playoffs.
I think Pop is finally settling on Splitter.
Spurs are 3-1 vs Jazz.
In the 1L the Spurs Big3 sat.
Spurs first round should be 4-1 worst case.
Utah has this in the pocket. No way Phoenix can get to the playoffs.
I'd say 5:1 to be honest.
Ok cool, can't wait for this war to start.
both these teams halfcourt offenses are atrocious
thx
should be a nice game
I'm getting off the pc to watch this. It's going to be fun watching these two teams kill each other for a playoff spot.
10-8 Suns, all starters have scored, Gortat strong rebounding.
spurs can still troll the suns tommoro though
Yup, and their fast break game is not that good too.
