People, this is exactly why Kobe Bryant is the greatest player of all-time. He knows exactly what and what doesn't deserve his focus. And some bull "scoring le" in a lockout season doesn't deserve it.

son Kobe lucked up having an advantage (as usual) and played in 8 less games than Durant as well as 4 less games than LeBron. it is a lot easier to maintain your PPG average when playing in less games like that. not to mention the fact that he chucked his way to an absolutely pathetic shooting percentage from the field and behind the arc.

I agree with the OP. When the closest runner up for an award is a past his prime chucker then the history books need to note how subpar the compe ion was that year and properly devalue the achievement.
Scoring 71 on a meaningless game = class
