Mmm
Your rooter needs a replacement I think
Whats the model ?
WRT-160N ?
I have been noticing my connection has been very slow over the last few days. I have a broadband connection and currently on my Cisco router the "link" light is steadily flashing amber. as of the last few hours when testing my speeds I can't even get an upload speed connection. when I bypass my router (which is a few years old btw) the link light immediately turns green. sons do I need a new router or could it be something else? thanks and God bless.

lol son its a very old school Linksys
Probably a bad gateway/modem profile sent by your Internet provider during a reset. The amber light usally means that the /gateway/modem is not working with more than one down stream channel.
Reset the fatory defaults and see if the same thing happens; a normal reset will get the bad profile from your provider
A call to check/set the proper profile is simple.
go to a pawn shop and get a router
Call customer service so they can "reset" your connection. After you do the unplug and wait ten seconds thing however![]()
Katrina has really wrecked your internet
