Nice stat for the history books. If we make it to the finals i'd be betting he'd get the 16 this year. If we only make it to the WCF it's 50/50 that he'd do it, if we go down in the semi's there's no chance.
will he get it?
he could probably get 10 next series and if we advance hed be up vs LA/OKC we who probably wont get much vs

Sustained excellence = Tim Freakin Duncan
Nope.
Even at 3rd, that's quite an accomplishment, tbh.
Spurs make the finals, he'll get it. WCF, probably.
Sure Timmy will be the all-time playoff block leader in the playoffs as long as the spurs are able to be in the western conference final
Yep. He's above Shaq now.![]()
stat just proves Duncan was robbed
I dont know how he can have 0 DPOY
he anchored some of the best defensive teams of all time and could possibly be the alltime playoff block leader
3 to go...
I think we can all agree, that he will get there in this playoffs (having at worst 4 more games to play).
but who cares?!?
we gotta win #5!!!!
Because Dwight Howard is the greatest defender in the history of history. Sheesh, it's like you've never perused a box score or owned a fantasy team!
TBH I didn't think he was going to get close to it. Now that he's only 3 away he might crush it
How the Spurs have never had a DPOY .. what a joke.
DRob was DPOY in 1991-92
Alvin Robertson was DPOY in 1985-86
Kyle Robetson was DPOY in 1974-75
He will get 5 tonight..
Bank on that
At first I thought it was simply because Tim has played in so many playoff games...
But it turns it he is averaging a very robust 2.54 blocks per playoff game. Better than Kareem and Shaq.
good call![]()
He has the rest of this postseason and at least two more postseasons after that... He'll break it.
all with barely jumping. what a beast.
All with his size & timing.
But lets get real Tim on the top 5 & there are no PF's there, which just furthers the fact that he's always been a Center.
It's important to note that Kareem's block totals are missing the first four seasons of his career, when blocks weren't a counted stat. Tim is amazing, and is going to be on the top of the list for players in the full box score era. But realistic projection will likely still put him behind Kareem, and likely also Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain.
