Crap, I said the exact same thing last night here. Didn't realize Buck and Jax read the board.

Popovich can treat the latest win like a loss, and he will take the Spurs into the film room to see a few things.
Or, as Stephen Jackson put it with a smile, “Pop’s got something to teach on.”

Meh, everyone that knows Pop saw that particular silver lining.
Pop: "Sure, we could've blown them out by 20+ points in Game 4, but then I wouldn't have anything to about during the week off, and the team might get soft."![]()
Eh, me too (and a lot of others).

Why the wasn't Patty Mills in there bringing up the ball and running the team instead of TO-prone Neal? He scored career highs the last two games of the reg season as well (Phoenix and GS). Pop would not have needed to put in the starters who still had a hard time plugging the leak.
Patty has this problem where, when he tries to do the spin move at the half court near the edge, he leaves the ball outside his reach, damn near behind him, and he gets picked a lot because of it. Also, Pop wants to give people burn who he thinks have earned it. If Neal could lose all his minutes, as well as he's done, just because some PG come across and had a couple good games, what type of ty system would that be and who would want to be a part of it?
ah the 11th man was the missing piece...
How is backup point guard the 11th man?
The 3rd string PG is the 12th man. The 5th big (Blair) is the 11th man as he serves as the 3rd string C and 3rd string PF. Outside of garbage time, we won't see much of either except in the event of injury or foul trouble.
Neal had been fine all series up to that point, while Mills had only been playing in garbage time. If Utah hadn't started coming back and we'd stayed up 20, I'm sure we would have seen Mills.
Instead, Utah unexpected upped their intensity higher than they'd had it all series and started coming back -- good for them. Not many teams in that spot raise their game like that (just ask basketball guru Andrew Bynum), but they did. So we brought the starters back to put the game away. End of series.
