I don't really consider this a mitt-flop because he has supported gay rights in the past. No?
Reportedly says it "should be legal" during interview with Robin Roberts of ABC.
Don't have a link but it is on CNN News now.
About time and let cards fall where they may.
I don't really consider this a mitt-flop because he has supported gay rights in the past. No?
This is ing hilarious. He sent Biden out last weekend to say the HE had no problem with gay marriage with the insinuation that he was speaking for the administration but that wasn't enough for the gay lobby...they have been hammering his ass all week and even demanding that the Democratic national committee office and the democratic convention move to a gay friendly state. He has to have their money and their votes so he got forced into having to come out in support of gay marriage which the clear majority of people in the US are against...I'll bet he hated the out of that but didn't have any choice.
Hussein ain't gonna get the "Christian" Taleban votes anyway, so he might as well get off the fence and put a plank in the Dem 2012 platform to push for same-sex marriage federally and vacuum up all the LGBT vote.
He should also put a plank for the DREAM act and vacuum up the majority of the Latino vote.

REPORT: Obama Expected To Endorse Marriage Equality In ABC News Interview
As President Obama prepares to sit down with ABC’s Robin Roberts this afternoon just hours after voters in North Carolina passed a cons utional amendment banning same-sex marriage and civil unions, political reporters are predicting that he may finally complete his evolution and endorse the freedom to marry for gay and lesbian people.
“Every expectation that we will, within the next hour, be in a different world, where we will have a President of the United States who supports the legalization of gay marriage,” Mark Halperin said this afternoon during an appearance on MSNBC. “The Vice President, I think, forced his hand. But even before the Vice President spoke on Meet The Press in favor of gay marriage, the President was headed in this direction,”

But as the Repugs are are defeating the SCOTUS decision allowing abortion, they will certainly defeat, at state level, a Federal statute on gay marriage.
i don't care if biden forced his hand, this is nice to see. it is sad that this is even an issue in this day and age.
I think these two threads should be combined.
Natural Gas: energy topic of day + a bust is coming
Politics, desperate for votes..nothing more
It's a move to get the younger generations that got him elected to vote again after 3 years of him playing Uncle Tom and doing almost nothing he campaigned on.
Keep up the good work, Joe. Spread the word![]()
I guess he finally made that pay grade![]()
Of course its a flip flop. But he is a politician and thats all politicians do. To think that Mitt has the flip-floping market cornered on Obama is either disingenuous or naive. Politicians will say or do whatever they think will help them get re-elected. I don't think this will help Obama, nor do I think his personal belief "evolved". Just his political.
You should care. This means he has no real conviction on the issue. Once re-elected, do you really think he'll fight for gay marriage? I believe he said he was still in favor of states setting thier own laws on the matter.
I'd like to believe the more times it is said out loud the closer it comes into being.
He said it was his "personal" view on the subject. You know just like Santorum says he is against abortion but wouldn't change the law, blah, blah.
this is probably just the next step in the leftist gay agenda WC uncovered, though.
Could be. I guess I am a pessimist.
He says a lot of things
I don't believe in personal views when it comes to politicians. I would believe him more if it was a gaffe as oppossed to a response to the vice president's meet the press comments.
lol only thing transparent about this clown is his weak political game tbh
a non-issue considering the nations current fiscal state...
Fair 'n balanced.
nice political move. distract from economic issues and bait Romney
