I disagree.

and there's no sign of any team to stop them
15 straight....that is just unheard of these days. Hope they keep it up!![]()
Get 16th on Thursday now.. Game to game.
OUTSTANDING.
Now all we have to do is wait and see if Pop likes the number 16.
J/K ... (maybe?)![]()
15 wins in a row is an amazing feat. It really is. I'm very proud of what this TEAM is doing. The numbers 11 and 5 are more important right now.
11 more wins to le number 5 that is.
1 posession at a time, 1 game at a time, keep pounding that damn rock.
Every game is game 1 to them. Pop has really instilled the mindset of "we're 0-0 as far as I'm concerned. Go out there and make us 1-0."
There is, actually, because the Thunder would be their next opponent and beating them will be a sizable task. That series would probably go 6 or 7 games.
Here's an article that gives some facts about the streak:
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ba...175053224.html
• They've been excellent on offense. The Spurs led the league in offensive rating (an estimate of how many points you scored per 100 possessions) during the regular season, averaging 110.9-per-100, according to Basketball-Reference.com's numbers. During the streak, they've ratcheted that up to 114.5-per-100, a rate only exceeded by five teams over the past 20 seasons — Jordan's Bulls in '91-'92 and '95-'96, the Shaq-Penny Magic and Payton-Kemp Sonics of '94-'95, and Steve Nash's '09-'10 Suns. So if you're thinking that ball movement you watched Tuesday night was, like, generationally great, you're not far off.
• They've been excellent on defense. The Spurs are clearly an offense-first team at this stage in their development, but they performed admirably on the other end during the season, finishing 11th in defensive rating (an estimate of how many points you allowed per 100 possessions) with a mark of 103.2-per-100. They've significantly tightened the screws over their last 15 games, allowing just 96.9 points per 100 opponent possessions — that rate that would have outpaced the league-leading units fielded by the Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers this year if stretched over the course of a full season.
I think the Spurs won 18 in a row a few years back and then got backdoor swept by the lakers if I remember correctly-so don't count your chicks until they are hatched.
I heard the Chicago Bulls threepeated twice. That stat is just as relevant to this season as what you just posted.
My memory is painfully clear on this one
The year: 2004
San Antonio won the final 11 games of the regular season, swept the Pau Gasol-led Memphis Grizzlies in the first round, and went up 2-0 on the Lakers thanks in large part to the force that was Tony Parker.
Then, the worm turned, the lakeshow figured out how to bottle up TP, .4 happened, and you know the rest![]()
#17 and counting![]()
No Phil Jackson to stop the Spurs.
The streak ends once Joey Crawford officiates a game. I'd rather it be now when we're up 3-0 instead of the WCF or Finals.
I thought it was a very well reffed game.
