Oh. From the subject line, I thought this was going to be about the last game they lost.
When Stephen Jackson lost ball in a turnover and Nick Young made a 25-foot three point jumper for a 40-16 lead, and Bonner answered with his own 3 pointer, I felt calm and relaxed. I just knew this team would not lose today, I felt an almost zen like calmness, because I have a great confidence in the Spurs to win in a sweep.
This Spurs team is the most confident, well coached Spurs team in their history. I used to panic during games. just expecting some bad result when the Spurs got off to poor starts, and they used to have some stinkers even in their championship years. This team just will not allow themselves to lose.
17 straight, 28 of last 30........Unbeavable!!!

Wow, I did not get the connection.....that must have been a sign.

I knew this would be a long game, I kept saying that in the chat.
That is interesting. To think that San Antonio was 40-16 after their last loss. 57-16 now.
I did not even go into chat, I can imagine how much doom and gloom was being spouted off....

I was calm, but in a different way. I didn't think the Spurs would win the game, but I was still very confident that the Spurs would win the series.
I'm not saying I predicted the win, I'm saying that I was not upset, I was calm, I just knew in my heart that they would come back. I've never been calm before this year.....maybe I'm getting old.![]()
Yeah why wait another two hours to post thread then LOL
I was watching The Preakness dude... I'll Have Another won again......
same here, tbh
slow start even with good open looks, we didnt make the shots in the first quarter
didnt help when it loook like the fix was in to get the clippers the win, with green in early foul trouble...took away our aggressiveness on defense....
Would have been better if you posted this thread at that moment. Would've been legendary status here,tbh.![]()

I already have legendary status.

me too, I even knew the spurs would win by double digits
i wonder what were the live odds when spurs were down 24
But seriously, I'm not looking for any props, I was just saying that in my heart, I was calm, I just knew it. Now, would I have bet my life on it... no, but it was just something I felt the last few weeks. This team will not be denied
Sam Mitc on NBAtv was saying all along that SA would come back even after they were down 24.
Props to Sam Mitc .![]()
probably the most epic part was right before the 3rd quarter started Tim, Pop and Tony where just chillin on the bench joking with eachother without a care in the world.
Their confidence is in another stratosphere.
It was like they did not have a care in the world.

I had to go pick up a friend from the airport at 3:30 and the Spurs were down 24 when I left the house. I put it on pause so I could watch them come back and win. In the past I'd have been too nervous to watch the game. I watched every second of it. This team is special, and that run in the third was legendary*.
*Legendary comebacks are only remembered in le seasons.
Exactly the same way I felt. I didn't watch much of the Suns sweep a few years ago because I just didn't have any belief in the team. I thought I was getting old.
