wow. Is that near the best in history? The best? Any stat guru's know where to find that?
But wouldn't championship number 5 make all that sweeter
That's the main number i care about.
Tim Duncan now has a winning percent of over 70%
With today's win over the Clippers, Tim Duncan now has a career winning percentage of .7001545, including the playoffs.
In the regular season, Tim is 792-319.
In the playoffs, Tim is 114-69, for a total of 906 wins, only 388 loses, in 1294 total games.
This is the most amazing 15 year winning rate in NBA and all sport history.

Are the games he has missed deducted from that?
only includes games he played.
Robert Horry might have a better record, and that's it.
Are you sure Ginobili's or Parker's isn't higher? Are we talking all time or active players? I'm sure some old Celtics players would be higher than that
they have not played 15 years or won as many games. Their percentage would be similar.
114-69 in the playoffs for a franchise player that has played as long as Tim is godlike.. Top 10 all time without a doubt....
I have not calculated for Jordan, but he did play exactly 15 seasons. His playoff record was 119-60, have not calculated regular season record. But I am willing to bet Tim won more total games including playoffs with a better win %.
Timmmmy Duncan is a ROCK STAR!!!!![]()
The fact that we don't know who else has that percentage, if anyone, tells me it's not ESPN front page material.
Tim has a better win/loss record than Bill Russell in both regular season and playoffs.
Tim had a pretty good coach and organization, don't forget.
There is on Tim in TEAM.![]()
Yesterday on telecast, Van Gundy said that the Spurs have the best winning percentage of any sports team over a 15 year span.
It follows that since TD has been on team for last 15 yrs, then he has best winning% of any player....probably even better since they have losing record when he has missed games.
Speaking of Van Gundy, did you guys hear him gushing: "I love Kawhi Leonard"
I think that speaks volumes,, because VG know bball better than most analysts doing games.

Except for a couple of his crazy views like wanting to drop cages on guys and let them fight it out.
Last year JVG said we didn't have enough talent. We've significantly upgraded our talent.
Among active NBA players, the three players with the best win % are Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili.
In the playoffs, the Spurs are 1-4 in games Tim did not play.
You've been watching the video of Stackhouse slamming Manu to the ground...
If you take out the 96/97 season, Pop has a career regular season W/L record of 830-352. Since Tim is 792-319, that leaves a record of 38-33 w/out Timmy. Then add in the 1-4 playoff record w/out Tim, and the Spurs are 39-37 w/out Timmy. This was below .500 prior to this season.
