b-b-but he made 18 of them

Kobe Bryant is the first player in NBA history to take over 32 shots and not have a single assist in a playoff game

Can't have the 6th ring so he goes for scoring les. Sounds about right.
He would have had assists had his teammates stepped up {end sarcasm}
he said I'm going out shootin' ...... and he played a pretty damn good game ...... like I said before. Lakers are nice 1-3 but 4-12 is completely .
Actually wasn't his fault. His team wasn't knocking down.
Kobe did more than his part, if he passed the ball more then it would likely lead to LAL losing by more. He was pretty much the only one stepping up
Just goes to show you no matter what Kobe does, he'll catch criticism. He pretty much was the only Lakers player to really come to play last night. Aggressive, hitting his shots, attacking the rim, playing hard on defense. But his game will get picked apart no matter what. Sure, he was chucking last night. But he was also hitting. Sure, he had no assists. But that's because no one else came to really play (maybe World Peace arguably). Kobe could be perfect from the field and the Lakers win by 40 and some Kobe critic will still find a way to discredit him. Just goes to show ya.
but! ...... but! ...... but! ...... ESPN told me he was the best and to ignore those kinds of facts! who cares if for every good game he has he then has 4 bad games? he makes the top 10 plays on SportsCenter all the time! - typical ignorant, easily brainwashed NBA fan

On Dan Patrick today they said that in the last 5 games that the Lakers were eliminated, Kobe had a total of 4 assists. That's 4 total.
The Thunder let him do what he wanted, and they knew what he wanted to do was shoot the ball. They just defended everyone else. Kobe didn't get anyone else going, so it was the Thunder against Kobe. Kobe lost.
But that is vintage Kobe, and that's why he needs two dominant bigs just to make the playoffs. The NBA is a team sport. Maybe you didn't get the memo.
If the Lakers win, no one faults Kobe's game, just as no one faults MJ's game when the Bulls won.
You pull that and lose, it's on you. Deal with it.
You pretty much just won this thread, all riding aside.
Kobe shoots the ball way more than any other player, demands the ball, rarely passes the ball in most games unless he gets swarmed, and overall he hogs the ball and has to have it or he cries. Vintage Kobe is right...and there is a reason why he gets all the criticism when they lose...especially when they don't score that many points on offense.
I'd also like to add since we're on the Lakers subject...Gasol is the biggest flopper/cry baby in the NBA.
