Kobe shouldn't be in the 1st team All-NBA tbh
Chris Mannix @ChrisMannixSI
All-NBA Second Team: Tony Parker, Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin, Kevin Love, Andrew Bynum.

Here is all 3 teams:
Marc J. Spears @SpearsNBAYahoo
1st team All-NBA: LeBron, Durant, Dwight, Kobe, CP; 2nd: Love, Griffin, Bynum, Parker, Westbrook; 3rd: Melo, Dirk, Chandler, D-Wade, Rondo.
Kobe shouldn't be in the 1st team All-NBA tbh
Happy for Tony and his first 2nd team selection, though I think he should've been on the 1st team instead of Kobe this year. He's been more productive and won a LOT more. Dude's barely lost a game this year after the first 21 games of the season where the Spurs struggled due to multiple injuries.
Congrats! Worth of the 2nd team at least
I like Parker for first team over Kobe, but I don't think it's straight up robbery. Worst part of the first team: could we push Kevin Love to center to keep Dwight Howard off?
Melo on the third team seems like the worst travesty given that he was only good for part of the season. Then again, that also describes Dirk.
Congrats to Tony, well deserved. Great season and great playoffs so far. But I think that Tim should have taken Chandler´s place in the third team. He is still productive in reduced minutes and so far he is looking like the Tim of old this postseason.
Happy for the Frenchman. Congrats.
Kevin Love was robbed. Tony has a case for 1st team but still happy that he made the 2nd. Now let's go get #5. Go Spurs.
I'm bummed. I honestly thought he'd get the recognition of being part of the 1st team mostly for the fact that he was in the top5 MVP conversation... unfair TBH
TP robbed as expected, and Blake Griffin being on the 2nd team is a joke. When a player is surprised that they made a jump shot outside of 8 feet they shouldnt be on an all nba team. Tim's efficiency this year has been off the charts, the only thing that kept him off is the minutes he played. Oh well popularity contest I guess.
What? No Dejuan?
Parker really didn't have a chance for first team because Kobe and CP3 finished above him in the MVP rankings. Second team is pretty damn good honor and helps his HOF bid.
Congrats![]()
Only five Spurs have been named to the All-NBA First Team or Second Team:
Tim Duncan 12 times
George Gervin 9 times
David Robinson 6 times
Alvin Robertson 1 time
and now Tony Parker
I am surprised Manu did not make it atleast one of those years when he was on top of his game! Oh well.
Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain and Shaquille ONeal would like to have a word with you.
Im happy for Tony to have a great season be rewarded like that. I was expecting him to be robbed by Wade.
We went through some of this when TP made the All-Star team, but . . .
Tony Parker is now one of only 22 players in pro basketball history to have won at least 3 les, to have made at least 4 all-star teams, and to have been named all-league at least twice.
Of the 22, only 3 are active (Parker, Bryant, Duncan).
Of the 19 who are retired, all 18 who are eligible for the Hall of Fame have been enshrined (only Shaq, who isn't yet eligible, hasn't).
Tim not even in 3rd team is a big rob. Anybody can tell me in face that Griffin, Melo and Chandler are better than Tim, even just for regular season?
Wade third team
TD 21
Congrats to Parker. He should have been 1st team though.
Carmelo third team, rofl rofl rofl
All star, All NBA 2nd team, Top 5 in MVP voting and maybe a le at the end
Not a bad year for TP
rofl Kobe and Melo with so much love out there. Both stupid clunkers.
And if any center isnt worth being in all nba 1st team, dont put Howard in it... Love and Blake got so much better season.
Again: lol @ Hollinger's pre season predictions on Parker.
I know Tyson Chandler is a top end defender and all, but that's what the All-Defense team is for, so Chandler on the 3rd team is pretty dubious IMO. Duncan's P/40 averages were better - across the board - than Chandler, INCLUDING blocked shots, and his PER was significantly higher. The All-NBA teams should be for the most complete players.
