No team has ever swept the playoffs to win the NBA Championship. The 01' Lakers came close, going 15-1. The 72-10 Bulls who many feel was a top, if not the best squad of all time went 13-3 en route to their le.
Now it is a slim chance, there isn't a guarantee we can even win this series. But where would you rank this year's team against the greatest of all time if we were to sweep all 16 games?

Your more than likely right but...what if?
I'll take 16-6 right now, and call it a day. The only thing worth having is the hardware.
I don't see it happening but since we are playing the "what if" game, I'll play along. If it does happen, it would put the Spurs at an unprecedented 26 game winning streak to end the season. That is just mind-boggling and it'd have to put the Spurs in the discussion. But I'm not even entirely sure if this team could beat the 2003 team, so I wouldn't rank them at #1.
The 2012 Spurs might not be THE best playoff team in NBA history if that happened, but they'd definitely be in the top 3 for consideration. Sweeping a powerful young Thunder team and a superstar-laden Miami Heat team would be a statement like almost none other.
