Sky is the limint
His stats vs OKC are just amazing for a rookie:
11 and 8 with +55% FG and 50% 3p shots for 27 min/game is just incredible...beyond being a good defender, he's a finisher and showing he can shoot too...
Do you think he can be an All-star caliber player ?
seriously
That kid's got a bright future. Hope he stays with us long term.
With this playoff performance, his stock is going way way up. Dude is a flat out baller, stone cold and doesn't play anything like a 1 year college NBA rookie, not even close.
All Star is a popularity contest and no Spur role player will ever get there. If he was with the Lakers, different story, but he's solid.
Guarantee you that NBA execs and coaches know who he is, and are asking and answering tough questions about how they missed him.
I'm very excited to see him grow and I don't see the Spurs front office letting him slip away.
Kawhi has been my favorite Spur this year. He's a rookie who plays like a vet and doesn't act like an idiot. I hope we don't let him go because I'll be purchasing a Leonard jersey when they're available.
He's gaining confidence with all the playoff pressure while the Big 3 are tanking.
Better than Durant his rookie year.
Spurs are into something here.
This.
Leonard jersey would be cool if it weren't for that 2... don't like that number at all
It's insane how he just up and became a three point shooter over the course of his rookie year.
Too bad he is playing with Duncan and Ginobili at the end of their careers.
He's a very good player. I wish he was a Blazer.
I see Kawhi's role similarly evolving like Rando and the C's big 3 did as a rookie.
3 years from now Kawhi will be the a top 2 player with TP
Hard to say what his ceiling is. He's not an explosive athlete, but that's probably helped him develop quicker by working on fundamentals like shoo ng.
I don't ever see him being a top player on a championship team but right now he's already the 4th best player on a championship level team. Let's just hope he continues to work hard and improve. I think next year he could put up 15/7 with around 38 mpg.
his best game as a spur came when the big 3 all sat out
put up 24/10/1/1/5 64% from the field
He's a slow offensive player, so I don't expect him to be a top SF in the league at any point in his career. He can be an Iguodala type though, but still not as fast.
Shandon was a poor man's Willie.![]()
Players who truly are just pieces dependent on the system and other players don't thrive when their support system doesn't. He has.
