Pop is a great coach, one of the top 5 of all-time, but as I've always said, Phil Jackson > Pop, tbh..
Michael Finley's penis was the beginning of the end for Pop..
Duncan, Manu, Robinson, Bowen, and to an extent, Parker, carried your hacked up face to those les. You didn't do expect tell the guys to play defense. I was on your bandwagon for most of the year. , no one expected the Spurs to do much of anything and your offensive system got to them into the Western Conference Finals riding a 20 game winning streak.
The problem with you, Greggory, is not your X's and O's, it's the way you stubbornly stick to your rotations and refuse to improvise those rotations on the fly. Gary in' Neal should have not seen one more goddamn minute tonight. This was a game Parker should've played every minute of the 3rd and 4th quarters. fatigue. There's about 70 TV timeouts per quarter, and those minutes should be enough rest for a world class athlete in his physical prime. Yet, despite the liability Neal has been all in' series, you put him in for Parker with close to 6 minutes left in the quarter. And just like last time you did so, the Thunder went on a run.
Are you in' re ed, Greggory? Serious question.
For the second straight year you ed this team with stupid rotations and roster decisions.

I started a thread 2 years go stating that Prime Duncan made Pop look better than he really is
Everybody bashed me upstairs
Pop lost this game by not playing our guys 40 minutes+. You have to do it when the depth stinks and the other team plays their stars big minutes.
Thats a given dude
You would think so, but it actually isn't the case, tbh..
Plenty of fans on the internet downplay Jackson's impact, even including many Laker fans..
I dont care if Phil had Jordan, Pip and Shaq
But he wouldnt have kept playing Bonner and Neal
Pop is a really good coach, he's just an stubborn old man now.
Greggory is such a brilliant strategist and game-planner, that's why it's beyond in' frustrating when he continues to play players who are a proven detriment. All of us Spurs fans have been saying since game 1 this is not Gary Neal's series. He's awful defensively, and if his shot's not falling, he's essentially worthless. Again, I like what Neal usually brings, but this series is a nightmare for him. Thunder are too quick and athletic on the perimeter for him.
Now I can understand Pop playing him in the first 3 games, and even game 4. The Spurs are without a point guard and you can't risk burning Parker out. But why oh in' why do you put the guy in after you've seized the lead late in the 3rd when it's been proven time and time again that Neal in=Thunder run?
This was the type of game Parker should've played 45 minutes.

pop already did his best imho, spurs just got tired as the playoffs go deep. you guys should be satisfied your team have already gone this far with what they have. when the refs step down from the pillar of shame, pop is the new scapegoat, classic spurs fans tbh
