I am with you, man. I am proud of the Spurs, the aged core fought till the end.
Yeah, they lost; and yeah, they blew a 2-0 lead in the conference finals; and yeah, they lost 4 straight after a 20 game win streak.
But the core of this team fought its ass off right to the very end. If this is the end of the road, at least they went out with pride and fight and gave the kind of effort that is expected of champions.
Thunder fans, you should hope that when your guys are 10-15 years in and facing a team that is its athletic superior by far, that it can muster that kind of effort, summon that kind of pride, and find that sort of will when everything is going against it.
As much pride as I've had in the Spurs in winning 4 les, I've rarely felt as proud of my team as I do right now.

Yeah that's bull , you were more proud of them when they won the les.
Nice sentiment though. I'll tell you that I'm still proud of our team but I won't devote nearly as much time in watching them next year without some major changes. Pop's San Antonio Suns experiment can be officially deemed a failure. These last two seasons have been fun but I'm not going to be like SunsFan were and continue believing in a system that clearly can't win a ring.
The upside is Leonard & Jax are great starts to getting back to a tough defensive minded team. Bonner's gotta go, Green & Splitter have both shown they can't get it done when it counts. So Go Spurs Go, go clear out the playoff deadwood and male some moves to get back to being a boring yet badass defensive team.
