I will roll with them in the finals (especially if the Heat make it). I can't really hate on the Thunder. They are like our little brothers, I team built in the Spurs image. Parlaying a great lottery pick and two great other players in a small market. The Thunder are the Spurs w/o the humility. Durant has it, he could be a great Spur, not all superstars could. However Westbrook and Harden are that new school type of players that the media loves but I won't hold that against them. Kids with talent and their heads on straight are few and far between you don't see many Tim Duncans, heck you rarely see Kawai Lenord types these days. A team like the Spurs succeeding would do wonders for kids to emulate but that ain't what the masses, the media or David Stern wants.

I was thinking earlier this evening that due to the similarities, if the Thunder wins the Finals--which I suspect they will--it will be like 1999 for them. They win their first trophy in a strike-shortened season...and can have an asterisk of their own.

Even if we didn't get screwed by the refs this series (which makes it even worse), you don't cheer for the team that beats you. Only a complete would do something like that.

Right now everything is wonderful for OKC but not just winning this le but the years ahead will determine their legacies. They have a lot of ego and at ude on this squad. The spurs rebounded and survived some huge dissapointments during their le years. We'll see what OKC is truly made of in the coming years...

I hate the Heat and I grew up hating the Celtics, I was a Magic fan, so all things being equal I roll with the West most times. I even rooted for the Mavs last year, which shows how much I hate the heat b/c I have no love for the Mavs and Cuban.
