Tiger finished well (-1), 3 back of Michael Thompson for the lead.
Phil finished (+6) and Bubba (+8)...brutal course, tbh

I've never seen a round where so many putts are left short. I can't stand how many young golfers use those stupid belly putters these days. IMO that's not even real putting and those putters should be banned from the tour. Belly putters should solely be for old people who's nerves are too weak and constantly get the yips.
Brutal course though, and yeah, I woulda liked to see Tiger's group do a little better.

Hossler showed some pretty impressive game today, even though he's blowing up on those first holes. That's the difference between a pro and an amateur...those missed 6-10 foot par putts.

Only 2 dudes under par out of the entire field...that course is straight unfair
I LOVE the U.S. Open! It's always the most brutal tournament played. Tiger looks good so far.

lol +8 cut...these courses are getting overly ridiculous. Might as well put mini-golf props on the greens now. Let's see Tiger sink that 35-footer through the windmill and into the frog's mouth
Brutal in course. Guys who make lots of pars will end up being in the mix sunday.
Holy lol -1 is the leader after two rounds.
I don't care how difficult the course is these greens are too slow. You can tell the players are pissed at the speed of them.
I think they tried to slow em down cause people were rolling through a lot yesterday but it backfired. The guys were used to the fast greens and were playing their shots to account for lots of extra rollout today and they just weren't getting it. It really messed up Tiger's round.
God what a disappointing round from Tiger. I still say he's too bulky/muscular and that's killed the finesse he used to have around and on the green.
His wedge play has been way more of a disappointment. No excuse for a pro to repeatedly have 80-120 out like he has and not pick up more shots.

Good bunker touch and putting first 3 rounds. Should be in contention if those 2 skills hold up.

I ing hate American golf crowds. You never hear any of that annoying "get in the hole!" at the British Open.
Also I want Ernie to win. That would be completely out of nowhere after not even getting into the Masters.
