Duncan has beaten Garnett, dirk, Kobe, and James in the playoffs...garnett has beaten James and Kobe in the playoffs...dirk has beaten Kobe, Duncan and James in the playoffs....and Kobe has beaten Duncan, and Garnett in the playoffs...and Durant has beaten dirk, Kobe, and Duncan in the playoffs...so if we follow the op's logic every one of these players suck

If you really dig into history, Dirk has beaten Garnett too, back in 2002 when Garnett was on the T-Wolves

All those guys had years more playoff experience when they faced off with LeBron (well, Kobe doesn't count, as others have posted). Durant is only 23, and it's LeBron that is now the more experienced playoff performer.

As good as OKC looked in the Spurs series, is there really anyone who saw what LeBron did to the Celtics in game 6 of the ECF and is shocked that he's tearing up the Finals now? It took him a while (and he needed the right team around him), but LeBron finally found his extra playoff gear and figured out how to dominate the way all the greatest players eventually seem to do.

Tim won it all in his second playoffs, but he had David and a veteran team around him that had his back. Kobe won early too, but he had Phil and Shaq. It took Jordan a long time to break through -- same with Shaq. Now it appears to finally be LeBron's turn.

Regardless how he got the team around him that he did, nobody in their right mind will say he was just able to breeze his way to the le. If he doesn't come up clutch with his whole career's legacy on the line, he's watching Celtics-Thunder on TV this week. Whether you like LeBron or not (I don't, really), you have to respect what he's done.

This thread is completely re ed. Durant didn't hand Dirk anything. Dirk was a freaking beast. He earned every bit of it.
