The Brooklyn Nets reached a verbal commitment with Croatian forward Mirza Teletovic on a three-year deal worth $15.675 million, according to sources close to the process.

The Nets will use their full mid-level exception to sign Teletovic.

Ok, between this, Crash 40/4 years, JJ and maxing DWill, does this mean the Nyets are pretty much done this summer? Can somebody who's actually paying attention to their cap situation tell me if they have any more cap to splash around?

Using the full MLE brings the restrictions of the "apron" into effect. In short, the Nets are now working under a de facto hard cap that will be set at 4 million dollars above the luxury tax threshold. That number will be around 74M.

    Larry Coon on the "apron":

The other major consequence of this signing is that the Nets can only offer the BAE (2yrs/4M) or the vet minimum to other free agents. That makes it unlikely that Kidd goes there and makes it problematic to keep Gerald Green.

"The complicated scenario that the Nets and Magic have tried to resurrect would involve the signing-and-trading of Brook Lopez and Kris Humphries as well as promising guard MarShon Brooks and multiple future first-round picks. Ideally, the Magic are looking to unload one of their bad contracts in a Howard deal, either that of Hedo Turkoglu or Jason Richardson.

UPDATE: Even though the re-signing of Wallace and acquisition of Johnson would put the Nets over the cap, their working figure includes cap holds for Lopez and Humphries, who could be flipped for Howard. It's difficult to envision finding room for Turkoglu, who makes $11.8 million next season. But the Nets probably could absorb J-Rich's $5.8 million and they have a $3 million trade exception into which another Richardson, Quentin, would fit."
