Indy's making bad decisions. Hill's not a point guard, and he and Ian both seem to be overpaid. Watching the sudden failure against Miami when Hibbert went to the bench, however, underscores their need for backup bigs who can do similar things, which is why they pulled the trigger. Compared to what Collison is going to want next year, they proably think they got Hill for a bargain.
If the Spurs want to find two teams that need backups for an undersized starting center who can't rebound, can't block shots and can't defend then there's probably sign and trades out there to be made.
