Mayo has the skills to be a multi-year all star even though he has dropped off somewhat the last couple of years. He could still get there. I've always thought highly of Kaman, especially his ability to hit the mid-range J and decent rebounding.

Collison was giving CP3 a run for his money with the Hornets and still has loads of upside potential because he is still really young. Shawn Marion remains serviceable even in his advanced years. Elton Brand still has a lot of value in that he brings rugged power and an offensive skillset to the power forward/C slot. Teamed with Dirk, this is a more dangerous team than last year. I expect them to place top 3 in the West and also to make some noise in the playoffs.

If they all stay healthy (looking at Kaman/Brand) they could be good. How good, don't know.

They will be good and there don't seem to be any chemistry headaches waiting to happen with that group either. The moves were impressive.

Why would you make that show for a billionaire who's married with two kids?

The Mavs are more dangerous than last year, but I doubt they'll be a contender, tbh..they'll need Dirk to go on another 2011-type run, just to have a shot..

Their frontcourt is impressive from an offensive standpoint, but Dirk/Kaman/Brand will get destroyed on the boards and on the defensive end of the floor(Brand is good on D, but undersized)..

Their backcourt is nice, especially if they re-sign West, but they'll need Mayo to emerge as a star, and a noticeable upgrade over Terry(which currently isn't the case), to emerge as a top team IMO..

Quite possibly the best owner in league history tbh. I like the fact where he don't overpay for NBA players just for the sake of signing someone to fill up the seats. Everyone should learn from him.

His offseason haul so far has been amazing!!! All this without breaking the bank like NY and Boston. Mavs will be exciting and will shock a lot of people next year. WCF appearance is not out of the question.

Ah they are just a bunch of scrubs that lacked something last year. That's why they were so easy to get for the Mavs.

He might be an evil genius since he trolled Mav fans and then didn't show up to a meeting with Deron Williams which Mav fan claims is the reason Dwill didn't join the single D.

Anytime you can blow a deal to bring in an All-Star talent to bring in a backup to a backup... well, you just have to do it.

BTW, short of the Turd Towers, is there a worse defensive frontcourt pairing than Dirk/Kaman?

sons I have nothing but love for Cuban, but he is not a genius rather just a rich bas who got incredibly lucky during the dot.com boom. however he is a passionate sports fan and a great owner. Dallas fans should be thankful for him and stop the ing.

they're better than last year and their finance is healthier than they've ever been the past many years. they built up a compe ive squad while keeping flexibility for the future plan, as much as you hate mark cuban you can't argue but admit the mavs have the finest FO of the world

The finest FO in the world dissected their championship team and thus paved the way for the sweep in the first round of the playoffs. Mark Cuban is a very very very fortunate rich bas . That's it.
