To be clear, I'm not hating on him for not dominating, I'm hating on him for not going all out. Lots of reports of him clashing with his coach for dogging it, getting kicked out of the pool/practice, quitting for months, etc. If he had busted his ass, and this was his medal count, I would have applauded. Don't go halfway.

You're the arbiter of what Olympic athletes should or should not do, eh? Even at 90% and in his third Olympics he's still kicking some butt. So maybe one or two people in the WORLD defeated him in some events - BFD. He's enjoying his swan song on his terms and doing pretty damned well in the process.
