Damn, sad news.
I like his movies.
I'm sure Denzel Washington is sad as well. He's like in 80% of his work.
I was actually a fan of his movies, if this news is real, you never really know what a person is going through...

Man on Fire is one of my favs
Have Unstoppable on my computer and had been meaning to watch it for a while now, in his honor, will watch it tonight.
Damn, sad news.

RIP. Man on Fire was awesome.
I wander what was happening in his life to result in suicide
I wonder what this means for Top Gun 2
That's what I was thinking too.
Damn, that's messed up.
Spy Game, Top Gun, True Romance, some of my favorite films of all time.
RIP

RIP
Some of his best work in my opinion.

Let's not jump to any conclusions
Top Gun, Last Boy Scout, and True Romance are some great films - will continue to appreciate them regardless of how bad everything from 2000 onward was. It's a tragedy - RIP, Mr. Scott.
Stringer, show the man some damn respect. in' ridiculous!
True Romance was an enjoyable film despite Scott's horrible direction. Complete destruction of a great Tarantino script, in my opinion. Especially at the end, when what should be a hilarious confrontation ends up looking like a ty episode of Miami Vice.
Sad what happened, though.
sons he must have really wanted to die. look at how tall the fence is that he climbed to be able to jump ...

Loved his direction on this film. One of the greatest scenes, ever. Great direction, acting, music...just amazingly perfect and never gets old.
and of course now, out of the blue ... his ass will be kissed and worshiped by bandwagon jumpers.

I think true romance was great because we see the disjointed classic Tarantino script with the polished direction of Tony Scott I think it makes this movie an all time great.
Who's going to make train movies with Denzel Washington now?
R.I.P. Mr. Scott...
WHENEVER Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
Clean favored, and imperially slim.
And he was always quietly arrayed,
And he was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
"Good-morning," and he glittered when he walked.
And he was rich—yes, richer than a king,
And admirably schooled in every grace:
In fine, we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.
So on we worked, and waited for the light,
And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head
Last Boy Scout was awful. Little known fact: there was so much post production needed on this film that they had to re-shoot and add entire scenes. The only problem was that Damon Wayans had put on about 30 lbs in the interim. You can see fat and skinny Damon interchange throughout the film.
RIP Tony.
BTW, what is it about the younger brother in British brother director pairs? Ted Demme died way too young of a drug overdose, too.
Sad news but overall this guy was a pretty ty director.
The Demmes aren't British.
