There's a couple things to this, but I won't overly defend it.
In fact, I LOVE it. The U has a standard of football excellence, with pro-level talent at almost every position...unfortunately, that c_unt president Donna Shalala is so worried about image and trying to clean things up that it affects the football team. A good image is the most overrated "thing," in college--especially since it's the sports teams who bring in all the money to the University.
Moving out of the OB to the worst stadium (location-wise) in the country didn't help either. Nobody's going to drive an hour on ty Florida Turnpike traffic to see an FCS-level product on the field. Drop the academic standards and go back to what worked for you: recruit the meanest n!ggers out there (selling them on the location with hookers and cocaine like you used to), and take all your Track and Field athletes and put them at WR.
The South Florida area has more athletic talent than any other place in the country. The U should be able to sell itself.
I hope the attendance drops to zero until they realize what makes them money.
