Who is that dude?
Who is that dude?
Ugh....JULIAAAAN!!!!
Pssh, Hardberger> Garza Jr. (Castro)
If you're a politician you have to know you might get booed, although Nelson Wolff got a nice applause.
Lol... anyone who won still sucks.
i missed that.
I had actually changed the channel for that partcause I didn't want to hear him... i just wanted ot hear the team.
He looked and sounded like a total putz...
Although Julian is a putz too, he would have done a much better job...
Pretty irrelevant. This wasn't a campaign speech, it was a Spurs CELEBRATION rally, and I'd bet money a majority of those boo'ing didn't even vote.
Who would have done a better job? Julian? or his brother?![]()
I thought that marred an otherwise great night.
Completely unecessary and classless, imho.
I voted for Hardberger and even had a campaign sign in my yard...despite him being a Democrat and me being a member of the GOP. I think he'll do a great job as mayor - sort of nice to have grown up (even a liberal) in charge for a change.
That said...I can't stand listening to him. He sounds like Ross Perot.
He hasn't even been in office one day and you're already showcasing your stupidty.
Better job flip flopping his decisions, better job at being pressured into things, better job at ing up the future of this city.
I think it's great that he has a hispanic surname, but that shouldn't be the only reason to vote for him or like him.
Hardberger 10x better of a Mayor than Julian would ever be.
Hardberger has moved the start time of the city council from 2 pm to 9 in the morning.
He's committed to getting done in this city.
He put the mike close enough to hear about every fifth word, which is about how many you need to hear from ANY politician. That woman also got booed roundly. People were ready for the Spurs.
yeah, that was pretty ing stupid... at the dome you couldn't hear one word he said... that is why nelson wolff got smart and just said, "go spus go!" and got the off the stage! hahah..
He was booed because no politican should be on the stage at a Spurs celebration party.
I would have booed to and I'm a Hardberger supporter.
I'd say 40-60 percent of that crowd didn't vote seeing as there was a ton of child and people who looked 18 or under.
Not to mention there was a ton of hispanics/mexicans who were probably or more than likely southsiders. Everything south of Downtown was Juilan country.

I've never understood the point of the local politicians being a part of the celebrations.
To be to the point: no one gives a damn. Give us the Spurs. I don't need to hear from the mayor. I don't need to hear from the county commissioners that ran point for Holt's sweetheart arena deal.
Screw the politicians, give us the team.
Had to edit. I mean't nonvoters.
At being Hispanic. Thats the biggest thing he has going for him.
I just can't believe how many people voted for the ass just because of his last name and the color of his skin.
That turd would have just ruined this cities future.
The voters got it right the second time.
Kept Hardberger in, threw Shubert out, and out voted the southsiders.
