U on LSD again tbh
The subject of an NFL player receiving death threats for playing poorly, or singlehandedly losing the game for his team, is nothing new to those of us who keep tabs on sports media. People have been betting on the NFL for decades, fantasy football existed before the internet... everything is just more exposed and more available now. So with headlines breaking today that Josh Morgan is the latest to have a bounty placed on his head so large he can't go near a civilized system, it got me thinking how ing stupid this all is.
I'm all for players getting injured and in the process allowing my team to break the speedometer taking Easy Street to the Winner's Circle. I don't want it to happen, but I'm certainly not someone like my mother, a UT Austin grad, who was crying when the Longhorns brought the business to Sam Bradford and got him carted off with a broken shoulder. The fact that he had declared it was his last season at Oklahoma and didn't get a fair shot at finishing the Red River Shootout really got her estrogen flowing. I enjoyed watching the remainder of the game without having to worry about losing. But that's a topic for another day.
Death threats are a whole new ballgame. Yeah, when your team loses a big game, it ing sucks. When they lose the Super Bowl because your franchise quarterback is throwing the game so his hometown and secretly favorite team can get the trophy it never won for his dad, it hurts a little more. After Super Bowl 44, I went on a road trip with a friend of mine to Dallas. The next day we got super drunk, went to a strip club called Baby Dolls and before we knew it were on our way to Oklahoma to buy peyote from somebody one of the strippers we picked up knew. It was a good experience. Peyote is definitely some trippy . And I felt like it was my destiny to finally try the drug that started with the same three letters as my favorite football player's first name less than 48 hours after he pretty much lost the Super Bowl by himself. SpursTalk definitely took it way too seriously when, after everyone was wondering why I didn't show up to answer for all the massive talking, that I told ATRAIN to say I killed myself. But given the time lapse it was worth a shot and I got some lulz out of it for sure.
But to threaten Peyton Manning's life? Yeah, like I really wanted a whole season of Curtis Painter... oh wait, yeah we got that last year. I understand it mostly happens to low level gots like Josh Morgan and Kyle Williams, but it's still pretty ed up. Like killing off the guy who ed over your team is going to lead to them replacing him with someone better right? Because Josh Morgan and Kyle Williams are next in line to the throne of Deion Sanders as far as elite special teams play goes right? Grow the up. If anything root for them to kill themselves, that way you're legally in the clear.

Actually I haven't done drugs other than smoke weed in almost 6 months scroliosis. I'm proud enough of the fact that I was able to graduate college while being the middle class equivalent of Charlie Sheen the whole time. I like to write and I like football and most of you guys seem to think my takes are funny even if my brain doesn't connect the dots in the same way that everyone elses does, hence my new way of posting. Got problems you can come to Austin and best make me believe you will follow me home and end me because you never roll alone and what not.
the peyote part
NewcastleKEG was one of the perps you are referring to. Dude lit up Kyle Williams' twitter like it was nobody's business. He's never fully recovered from that moment emotionally, and has since gotten himself banned (hard to do here).
100% true tbh, except for the part about wanting to try it because it's one letter off of being an anagram of Peyton. Back then I really wanted to be Hunter S. Thompson. Used to take acid and go to work, sometimes class if it was an auditorium class over 500+.
in Kyle Williams. I had money on that game. Man I was pissed and not even a fan of the team so it has to be 10 times worse for a die hard fan.
It's one thing to be displeased with a player on your team, but to take it to the level of threatening them over Twitter...which in itself is a pussy move to begin with...is shameful. It's only sport...
