Rand Paul: Epic Senate floor speeches against war, Iran sanctions & foreign aid

"I'm going to tell you the story today of a love affair. It's a story that's... a steamy one, a story of illicit behavior. Of treachery and of gluttony. It's a story that involves intrigue and deception. It's a story of unintended consequences, and it's a story of anger and violence... It is the story of American foreign aid".

the foreign aid, it should all be cut off immediately when you're 16 trillion in debt. who the are we to be giving away money rofl. tell those other countries to off and suck , it's not like they were our friends anyway. and while we're at it, let's shut down every single expensive to maintain foreign base and bring all those guys home. i was surprised to learn that we give that to pretty much every middle eastern country as well as russia? pshh

Foreign aid is basically a blank check given to corrupt greedy powerful rich people who do not help the people that actually need help. The only reason why America gives some of this aid to certain countries is because some of these countries are heavily armed. America is basically buying "friendship" which is just a bribe or payoff.

there's really no need to jerk over foreign aid imho, at least the money given away won't be used against us later, and it ain't nearly as much as what the stupid wars cost, or what has been drained out of this country by china/wal-mart

Foreign aid is pointless, fixes nothing, and only serves to fund corrupt regimes abroad with our tax dollars, tbh.... however, sellout Rand of course listed a million caveats that would bring foreign aid back, so he still is not to be trusted....

Senate Votes 90-1 On Iran Resolution (VIDEO)

"On Saturday (Sept. 22) the U.S. Senate voted 90 to 1 to pass a non-binding resolution that would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. The lone senator voting against the resolution was Rand Paul, son of Ron Paul the well-known libertarian. Rand Paul argued that the resolution was de-facto a declaration that the U.S. would wage a pre-emptive war.
