To tag someone in a post, put "@" and then their user name (no space).

It will send a notification to them (like a PM notification) so they know next time they are online that you are talking to/about them.

When you do it, it shows up as bold (like the names in my above posts) without the @

lol I was going to try so and so but then I wanted to make sure and quoted one of your posts and it used the mention tag, so I wanted to wait to see if it was easier. timvp I guess I need something after it, for it to work

ah when I had the mention tag in brackets talking about that is how it appeared when I quoted one of Kori's original tests to see what tags and/or symbol was used. But I never closed the original mention tag even though I wasn't trying to use it as a code, it messed up the following mention tag I wanted

SpursTalk now has the option to "tag" other users. Simply put @ and then their username. The result will be a bolded username that links to their profile. That user will receive a notification that you tagged them and they will be linked to the post. This should be useful in terms of helping the flow of conversations.

Another feature that was added: You now get a notification when someone quote's your post. IMO, this has been needed for a long time. If someone quotes your post, you should be notified so you can respond. Now you are

    P.S.

If you want to turn off either of those notifications for whatever reason, you have that option in your control panel.

does the @ have to be used at the beginning of a statement or anywhere in the sentence?
