The nominees for the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are in, and, for the first time, fans get to vote alongside the artists, historians and music industry insiders of the Rock Hall voting body. From now until December 5th, you can vote right here for the nominees you'd like to see inducted. Pick up to five acts – the top five vote-getters will comprise a "fan's ballot" that will count as one of the more than 600 ballots that determine the Class of 2013. The results will be announced in mid-December.

All these Hall of Fames are really lowering their standards. Way too many people in them. These HOF's should be about the elite of the elite. We aren't seeing that. I don't see any of those bands HOF caliber. A HOF is about the The Beatles, The Stones, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Hank Williams, Elvis, Little Richard, Willie Nelson, Frank Sinatra, onlly the huge belong. You can't talk rock & roll without Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, you can talk it without Rush or any of those other bands.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum is a pretty cool place to visit. Tons and tons of memorabilia to wander through. The exhibits are set up in a way that demonstrates how all the different genres we say "Wtf?? That's not even rock!" to when they announce each years' nominees, fit in and influence each other. If you can open your mind to the thought that rock and roll evolved from many different things and is still ever evolving, and force yourself to step out of the "era" you've predetermined as the "best", then it's a pretty amazing thing to experience.
